First
Chakra
Also called Root Chakra, or Base of Spine Chakra
Other Names: Root, base
Located at the base of spine and the pubic bone energy surrounds reproductive
area
Color: red
Gem: Ruby
Element: Earth
Area of consciousness: physical body
This includes all physical sensations, such as pain, sensuality,pleasure
and power. Also, survival, and the basic need to protect oneself from
harm.
Descriptive words that apply stability, solidity, unity, loyalty to family,
and grounding. On the other side are the elements of prejudice,and believe
of superiority over others.

Second Chakra
The second chakra deals with change; a predominance of orange in the aura
indicates one that is open to change
Situated: Between the navel and pubic bone
Color: persimmon orange
Gem: Mexican Fire Opal
Element: Water
Area of Consciousness: emotional
Descriptive words: enthusiasm, creativity, and how one applies survivalinstincts.
The other side is using others at any cost to your own advantage.

Third Chakra
or Solar Plexus
Transformation to a new state occurs through this chakra's basic Dynamic
energy and our ability to find a balance between extremes.
Situated: between navel and sternum
Color: Lemon yellow
Gem: Citron
Element: Fire
Keywords: honor one's self, self-esteem, and courage. On the other Side
giving in to others to gain their approval. Compromising one's self for
acceptance

Fourth Chakra
or Heart Chakra
The task of this chakra is to integrate and balance the realms of Spirit
and mind with our physical body (matter)
Situated: Between breasts over the sternum
Color:¾ Emerald Green
Gem: Emerald
Element: Air Area
of Consciousness: astral body
This is the first level beyond 3-dimensional matter. Here we have the
bridge between the dimensions of matter and the dimensions of spirit.Although
we may refer to the lower chakras as being concerned with mankind, and
the upper chakras as being concerned with spirituality and God, each has
great importance in the balancing of energies. The goal is to balance
a chakra's lower frequencies into its higher ones. Suppression is not
the goal; it is recognition and balance. Key Words: love, compassion,
balance, and forgiveness. On the other Side is jealousy, harboring grudges,
and anger.

Fifth Chakra
or Throat Chakra
Here we have the realm of consciousness where communication occurs,whether
that is within ourselves or to and from another
Situated: throat area
Color: Ceylon sapphire blue (light colored blue)
Element: Sound
Area of consciousness: etheric body
This etheric body is the template for the physical body, and represents
our potential for perfection.
Key Words: sound, vibration, communication, self-expression speaking your
truth, and knowing yourself. On the other side of this iscontrolling others
with your words.

Sixth Chakra
The essence and function of this chakra is to see in the sense that We
accept that complete vision will include both darkness and light.
Other Names: Third Eye or Brow Chakra
Situated: center of head, behind forehead
Color: indigo blue
Gem:¾ Dark Sapphire, or dark Siberian Amethyst.
Element: Light
Area of consciousness: celestial body
It is here that we have sixth sight or the ability to see by way of clairvoyance.
We use this chakra for visualization, receiving insight Or inspiration.
Key Words: intuition, imagination and clairvoyance seeing the truth. The
other side of this expression is seeing only the truth that serves your
point of view.

Seventh Chakra
or Crown Chakra
This chakra represents our belief systems, both conscious and unconscious.
Situated: Top of head
Color: white or violet (I have seen this chakra
both colors, so I am mentioning both colors here)
Element: Connection to spiritual thought
Area of Consciousness: etheric body
This chakra is associated with the spiritual realm. Here is where wemerge
with God, the All That Is.
Key Words: enlightenment, knowing and cosmic consciousness, most importantly
living in the present moment. The other side of this is living in the
past, constantly reflecting on what may have been, or what happened in
the past.

Eight Chakra
or the Golden Sun Chakra
Situated: an arm's distance above the Crown Chakra
Color: Gold (This looks like a Golden Sun to me.)
Element: Life contracts, collecting energy that
has been disbursed
Area of Consciousness: Sacred
This chakra is associated with the spiritual realm. Here is where we merge
with God, the I AM THAT I AM.
Key Words: enlightenment, knowing and cosmic consciousness, trust in The
Universe.
